1422 RES BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF PARIS PUBLIC LIBRARY EXPANDED MAXIMUM NUMBER OF 9 MEMBERS TO 12RFSOLUTION NO. 1422
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the Paris Public
Library was this date expanded by ordinance from a maximum
number of nine (9) zn.embers to a maximum number of twelve
(12) members; and,
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the Paris Public
Library has requested that its membership be expanded; and,
WHgZEAS, the Board of Directors of the Paris Public
Library has recommended that Mrs. Marvin Gibbs, Robert
Pierson and D. Bradley Hutchison, be appointed to the Board
of Directors of the Paris Public Library in order to fill
the expanded Board, said appointments to become effective
immediately and continue through June 30, 1972, or until
their successors are appointed; and,
WHEREAS, under Section 17-16 of the Code of Ordinances
of the City of Paris, Texas, it is necessary that said
appointments be made by the City Council upon recommendation
of the Library Board; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
PARIS, TExAS, That Mrs. Marvin Gibbs, Robert Pierson and D.
Bradley Hutchison, who reside within the corporate limits of
the City of Paris, Texas, be, and they are hereby appointed
to serve as members of the Board of Directors of the Paris
Public Library through June 30, 1972, or until their suc-
cessors are appointed.
