1420 RES COP IS MEMBER OF ARK-TEX COUNCIL OF GOVERNMENTSRESOLUTION NO. 1420
WHER EAS, the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, is a member of
the Ark-Tex Council of Governments; and,
WHEREAS, in accordance with the Bylaws of the Ark-Tex
Council of Governments the Board of Directors of same shall be
composed of inembers elected or appointed by the membership; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Paris is entitled to appoint three
members of the Board of Directors of Ark-Tex Council of
Governments as provided in the Bylaws of the same; and,
WHEREAS, James W. Farris, Mayor of the City of Paris,
recommends the appointment by the City Council of the City of
Paris, of James W. Farris, H. C. Westfall and F. D. Mallory, III,
as Directors of the Ark-Tex Council of Governments through
June 30, 1972, or until their successors are duly qualified or
installed; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RFSOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
PARIS, TEXAS, That James W. Farris, H. C. Westfall an d F. D.
Mallory, III, be, and they are hereby appointed as members of
the Boa.rd of Directors of Ark-Tex Council of Governments, to
serve through June 30, 1972, or until their successors are duly
qualified or installed.
