1416 RES CITY COUNCIL IN FAVOR OF AND SUPPORTS ANNUAL "OPERATION SPARKLE"RFSGLUTION NO. 1416
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris is in
favor of and supports the annual "Operation Sparkle", wherein
the Chamber of Commerce of the City of Paris and interested
groups make a concerted effort to improve the appearance of
our fair City; axid,
LJHER EAS, this year, as in the immediate past year, an
outstanding contribution was znade by the 952nd Eazgineering
Company (Light Equipment), commanded by Captain Jimmy M. King;
and,
WHEREAS, the officers and men of the 952nd Engineering
Company (Light Equipment) made 111 requested pick up stops for
the purpose of collecting large trash items and delivered 43
truck loads to the City of Paris Sanitary Land Fill, utilizing
five 5 ton dump trucks, one wrecker truck and one front-end
loader; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Pa.ris is well
aware of an d wishes to publicly recognize the public welfare
contributions of its citizen soldiers; NOW, THER EFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
PARIS, TEXAS, That the o.fficers and men of the 952nd IIzgineering
Company (Light Equipment) are hereby commended for an outstand-
ing contribution to "Operation Sparkle" performed on 17 and 18
April, 1971.
