1374 RES CITY COUNCIL INQUIRED OF ST OF TX CONCERNING LAKE GIBBONSRESCLUTION NO. 1374 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, has heretofore inquired of the State of Texas concerning continuing Lake Gibbons and the area adjacent thereto as a wild- life management area; and, WHEREAS, the State of Texas has agreed to become a li- censee of all that body of water known as Lake Gibbons and owned by the City of Paris, including city owned lands adjacent to Lake Gibbons, which fronts on F. M. Highway 2820, consisting of appxoximately 434 acres and being on the North and South side of said Lake; and, WHEREAS, the City Council af the City of naris is of the opinion that the best interest of the City of Paris, the citi- zens thereof and the citizens of Lamar County, will best be served by granti.ng a license to the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RFSOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TF.XAS, That the Mayor, B. M. Felty, be, and he is hereby authorized to execute a wildlife management license, granting and giving to the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department a license to control and manage the Lake Gibbons property owned by the City of Paris, including the Lake an d approximately 434 acres adjacent thereto, except as other interests may apply, fronting on F. M. Highway 2820 and being on1ie North and 5outh side of said Lake, for a period of five (5) years, with an option to extend for five (5) additional years.
