1360 RES CITY COUNCIL IS AWARE THE TX HIGHWAY COMM INTENDS TO PARTICIPATE IN TRAFFIC OPERATIONS PROGRAMRESOLUTION NO. 1360
WHER EAS, the City Council of the City of Paris is aware
of the fact that the Texas Highway Commission intends to parti-
cipate in a traffic operations program to increase capacity
and safety (TOPICS) as authorized by the Federal Aid Highway
Act of 1968 within the designated bounda.ries of urban areas;
and,
WHER EAS, the City Council of the City of Paris deems it to
the best interest of the City of Paris to participate in such a
program; and,
WHEREAS, in order to participate in the TOPICS Program it
is necessary that the City of Paris enter into an agreement with
the State of Texas, acting by and through its State Highway
Ehgineer; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
PARIS, TEXAS, That B. M. Felty, Mayor of the City of Paris, be,
and he is hereby authorized to execute on behalf of the City of
Paris, the contractual agreement with the State of Texas, acting
by and through its State Highway Engineer, agreeing to partici-
pate in the TOPICS Program.
