1351 RES COP WILL CONSTRUCT CERTAIN SEWAGE TRANSMISSION AND TREATMENT FACILTIIESRESOLUTION NO. 1351
WHERFAS, it is contemplated that the City of Paris, Paris,
Texas, will construct certain sewage transmission and treatment
facilities with an estimated total cost of $69,850.00; and,
yVHERFAS, it is found that the City of Paris is unable to
provide the total cost of such improvements; and9
WHEREAS, it is deemed necessary an d proper to apply for
federal grant under the Federal Water Pollution Control Act,
Public Law 660, as amended, in order to have sufficient funds
to complete these much needed improvements; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RFSOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
PARIS, TEXAS, That the City Manager, C. L. Walker, be and is
hereby authorized and directed to make application and sign the
necessary documents required to complete the project on behalf
of the City of Paris, for a federal grant under Public Law 660,
as amended, to be applied to the cost of the construction of
said sewage facilities. The City of Paris hereby agrees that
if a federal grant for the project is made pursuant to the
Federal iniater Pollution Control Act, the city will pay the re-
maining costs of the approved project.
