RFSOLUTION NO. 1328 <br />WHEREAS, A. M. O'Brien, doing business as the Yellow Cab <br />Company, and operating under Franchise Ordinance No. 1793, <br />passed the 12th day of September, 1966, has presented to the <br />City Council of the City of Paris his written request for cer- <br />tain changes in the rates to be charged for taxicab service <br />within the corporate limits of the City of Paris; and, <br />WHER EAS, the City Council, in Section 13, Subsection (b) <br />of said franchise ordinance, has the pawer and authority to <br />determine rates to be charged for taxicab service within the <br />corporate limits of the City of Paris; and, <br />WHEREAS, it has been determined by the City Council that <br />the present fares being charged for certain areas within the <br />City are not adequate to yield a fair return to the owner of <br />such business; NOW, THEREFOR E, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, <br />PARIS, TEXAS, That the taxicab company involved is hereby per- <br />mitted to amend its rate schedules as follows: <br />In Zone 1, which is bounded as follows: On the North <br />by Pine Bluff and Graham Streets, on the East by 4th Street, <br />N. E. and 4th Street, S. E., on the South by East and West <br />Sherman Streets, and on the West by 4th Street, S. W. and 4th <br />Street, N. W., the fares permitted to be charged are as follows: <br />500 for each passenger and 25q, for each additional <br />passenger with the same origin and destination. <br />Outside of Zone l, the fares permitted to be charged <br />are as follows: <br />The fare charged for Zoize 1, plus 100 for each <br />additional four blocks or fraction thereof, and <br />250 11or each additional passenger with the same <br />origin and destination. <br />Charges permitted, in addition to the regular charges, <br />are as follows: <br />Waiting and cruising time shall be charged at <br />the rate of $4.00 per hour. <br />Package deliveries shall have a minimum charge <br />of $1.00. <br />Calls answered between 12:00 midnight and 4:00 <br />o'clock A. M. shall have a minimum charge of $1.00. <br />On or after February 1, 1970, meter fare rates shall <br />be as follows: <br />50(,' for the first 2/5ths of a mile and <br />100 for each additional 1/5th of a mile. <br />All fares heretofore fixed by resolution,or otherwise, <br />are superseded as of the effective date of this resolution. <br />
