1326 RES COP ADVERTISED FOR BIDS FOR SALE OF SURFACE GRAZING RIGHTS OF COX FIELD AIRPORTRFSOLUTION NO. 1326
WI-iEREAS, the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, has heretofore
advertised for bids, on certain terms and conditions, for the
sale of the surface grazing rights of Cox Field Airport proper-
ties; and,
WHEREAS, bids have been received and referred to a
Committee of the City Council, and which Committee finds that
the bid of S. J. Embry is in accordance with the specifications
for bids published and promulgated by the City of Paris, Paris,
Texas, for the surface lease of the Cox Field property, and
that the same is in the sum of $40,065.00, being $8,013.00
annually, for a term of five (5) years, with an option for re-
newal for an additional five years at the same rentals and under
the same terms and conditions, said primary term to begin
January l, 1970 and end December 31, 1974, which bid is the
highest and best bid received; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RFSOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
PARIS, TEXAS, That the bid proposal of S. J. Embry, be, and
the same is hereby declared the highest and best bid for the
use of the Cox Field Airport property for grazing purposes,
and the Mayor of the City of Paris, R. A. Kennedy, is hereby
authorized and directed to enter into such lease with the
bidder, S. J. Embry.
