1322 RES FRANK L MCCLURE OWNS LOT FRONTING WEST SIDE OF S MAIN STRESQLUTION NO. 1322
WHEREAS, Frank L. McClure owns a lot fronting on the West
Side of South Main Street, immediately South of the Paris
Public Library, with a frontage of approximately 100 feet on
South Main Street, with a depth of 216 feet, and with a frontage
of 100 feet on lst Street, S. W.; and,
WHEREAS, he has offered to sell the same to the City of
Paris for the sum of $15,000.00, payable in annual installments
of $1,000.00, which said unpaid balance is to bear interest at a
rate of 4% per annum; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that said price is a
reasonable price for said property and that it would be to the
best interest of the City of Paris that the same be purchased
for the City of Paris; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
That the Acting City Manager, H. C. Greene, be, and he is hereby
authorized to purchase said lot fronting 100 feet on South Main
Street and 100 feet on lst Street, S. W., and being 216 feet
deep, which lies adjacent to the South Boundary Line of the
Paris Public Library, for the sum of $15,000.00, payable in
annual installments of $1,000.00, which said unpaid balance is
to bear interest at a rate of 4% per annum.
