1300 RES DR JAMES R MOORE COMPLETED SERVICE OF 4 YEARS ON CITY COUNCILRESOLUTION N0. 1300
WHEREAS, Dr. James R. Moore has just completed a service
of four years on the City Council of the City of Paris, Paris,
Texas, and has just finished serving as Mayor of the City of
Paris for a term of one year; and,
WHEREAS, during the time Mayor Moore served as such
Councilman and such Mayor, he gave of his services for the
best interests of the City of Paris, whether on minor or con-
troversial matters; and,
WHEREAS, during the year he has served the City of Paris
as Mayor, he has conducted meetings of the City Council with
dignity and directness, and has given unselfishly of his time
in the investigation and disposition of whatever matters that
came before the City Council; and,
WHEREAS, the City Colancil is entirely aware of the sin-
cere devotion of Dr. James R. Moore to the City of Paris and
the people residing therein, which devotion was constantly
expressed by his outstanding leadership during his term as
Mayor of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas; and,
WBEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris is aware
of its inaptness in expressing in words the keen respect and
admiration of all of the members of the City Council for Dr.
James R. Moore; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
PARIS, TEXAS, That we here and now express to Dr. James R.
Moore our full and complete appreciation for his years of
service on the City Council and for his year of service as
Mayor of the City of Paris, and we do here and now extend to
him our best wishes for his future welfare and for his con-
tinued interest in the future of the City of Paris.
