1293 RES BEEN CALLED TO ATTENTION OF CITY COUNCIL THAT IN PLAT OF TX AND PACIFIC RAILWAY ADD'N TO COPRESOLUTION No. 1293
It has been called to the attention of the City Council of
the City of Paris that in the plat of the Texas and Pacific Railway
Addition to the City of Paris as shown in Deed Book 53, paLye 445,
Lamar County Deed Records, that an alley which lies adjacent to
the -W est Boundary line of Lots 1, 2, 3, and 4 of Block 6 and the
East Boundary line of lots 9, 10, 11 and 12 of Block 6, shown to
be 20 feet wide, was dedicated on said plat; and
WHEREAS, it has been called to the attention of theCity
Council that the alley described in said plat has never been accepted
by the City nor used by the public as an alley and that said lots have
never been used for residential purposes and that said alley has been
used by the adjoining property owners on the East and West for more
than forty years and neither af the property owners adjacent to said
alley desire to use the same as such; and
WHEREAS, the City of Paris has no intention of openinLy,
usinq or maintaininq~ an alley adjacent to said lots because there is
no one to be served by said alley and no necessity exists therefor:
Now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Paris, Texas, that the Mayor of the City of Paris,
James R. Moore, and the City Clerk, H. C. Gree,_e, be, and they
are hereby, authorized to execute a quit claim deed to Blankinship
Oil Company, a corporation, on the following described portion of
said alley, to-wita
B eing a part of the Larkin Rattan Sur vey in
Lamar County, Texas, and BEGINNING at the North-
west corner of Lot l, Block 6 of the Texas and Pacific
Railway Addition to the City of Paris as shown in Deed
Sook 53, page 445, Lamar County Deed Records;
THENCE South alonq West Boundary line of
Lots 1 and 2 of Block 6 of said addition, a stake;
THENCE W"est 10 feet in the center of an alley,
a stake;
THENGE South 100 feet down the center of
said alley, a stake;
THENCE W est 10 feet to the Southeast corner
of Lot 9, Block 6 of said Addition, a stake;
THENCE North along, the East boundary line
of Lots 9, 10, 11 and 12, Block 6, of said addition, a
stake;
THENCE East 20 feet to the place of beLyinning.
Said Blankinship Oil Company, a corporation, beino, the present owner
of Lots 1, 2, 9, 10, 11 and 12 of Block 6 of the Texas and Pacific
Railway Addition to the City of Paris as above shown and the description
to be included in said quit claim deed includes all of the alleyway
between Lots 1 and 2 and Lots 11 and 12, of Slock 6 of said Addition
and the W est 1/2 of said alley adjacent to the East Boundary line of
Lot s 9 and 10, Block 6 of said Addition.
