1280 RES ST OF TX DESIRES TO PLACE BOAT LAUNCHING RAMP AND ACCESS ROADRESOLUTION NO. 1280 ,
WHERFA.S, the State of Texas, acting by and through the State
Highway Commission, desires to place a boat launching ramp and
access road serving the same at Lake Gibbons on property owned by
the City of Paris; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Paris is of the opinion that it will be
to the advantage of said City and its residents for such improve.
ments to be made at Lake Gibbons; NOVJ, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
Paris, Texas, That the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized to
make, execute, and deliver a contract of agreement between the
City of Paris and the State of Texas,to the State Highway
Commission of the State of Texas, permitting the State of Texas
to construct, maintain, and operate a boat launching ramp, together
with an access road and parking area in conjunction therewith, upon
property owned by the City of Paris, being a part of a 242.13 acre
tract of land situated in the W. H. Hobbs Survey, conveyed by
InTilliam Huddle and wife, N. A. Huddle, to the City of Paris by
deed dated the 14th day of March, 1898, recorded in Boolc 88, Page
230, Deed Records, Lamar County, Texas.
