1275 RES COP PASSED ORD NO 1868 "JUNKED MOTOR VEHICLE REGULATIONS"RESOLUTION NO, 1275 ,
WHEREAS, the City of Paris, by and through its elected City
Council, has heretofore passed Ordinance No, 1868, "Junked Motor
Vehicle Regulations," which authorizes the Chief of Police, or
his duly authorized agent to dispose of junked motor vehicles in
such manner as the City Council may provide, after he has taken
possession of the same in accordance with the provisions of said
ordinance; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council has not, as yet, designated the
manner in which the Chief of Folice, or his duly authorized agent,
shall dispose of said junked motor vehicles; NOW", THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
That the Chief of Police, or his duly authorized agent, so desig•»
nated in writing, be, and he is hereby authorized to contract with
any wrecking yard operating within the City of Paris, on the best
terms obtainable, at no cost to the City of Faris, for the towing,
dismantling, wrecking, and crushing, or other disposition of
junked motor vehicles,coming within the purview of Ordinance No.
1868, "Junked Motor Vehicle Regulations," and that the Chief of
Police, or his duly authorized agent, so designated in writing,
be further authorized to execute Bill of Sales in behalf of the
City of Paris to such wrecking yards as he contracts with for the
disposition of said junked motor vehicles, so that said junk yard
may receive said junked motor vehicles in compliance with Penal
Code Article 1436.2 of the Statutes of the State of Texas.
