RESOLUTION NO. 1266 0 <br />WHEREAS, James M. Brunette D.D.S. has just completed a <br />service of four years on the City Council of the City of <br />Paris, Texas, and has just finished serving as Mayor of the <br />City of Paris; and, <br />WiEREAS, during the year he has served the City of <br />Paris as Mayor, he has conducted the meetings of the City <br />Council with dignity, poise, and directness, and has given <br />unselfishly of his time in the investigation and disposition <br />of whatever matters that came before the City Council; and, <br />WHEREAS, Mayor Brunette, in his outstanding leadership, <br />explaining to the citizens of Paris the merit of the proposed <br />municipal sales tax, and the success of his efforts was evi» <br />denced by the tremendous majority of the voters f avoring the <br />municipal sales tax; NOW, THEREFORE, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, <br />That we here and now express to James M. Brunette D.D.S. our <br />full and complete appreciat:ion and gratitude to him for his <br />years of service on the City Council and for his service as <br />Mayor, and we do here and now extend to him our best wishes <br />for his future welfare. <br />Passed and adopted this lOth day of April, A.
