1257 RES COP UNDERTAKEN TO COOPERATE WITH TX HIGHWAY DEPT FOR PURCHASE OF ROW

RESOLUTION NO. 1257 . WHEREAS, the City of Paris has undertaken to cooperate with the Texas Highway Department for the purchase of right of way for widening U. S. Highway No. 271 f rom F.oop No. 286 North to the City Limits of the City of Faris; and, WHEREAS, the State Highway Department has furnished the City of Faris with its written contract with reference to participation in the purchase of right of way; and, WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris is of the opinion that it will be to the advantage of the City of Faris to execute said contract; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, That James M. Brunette, Mayox of said City, be, and he is hereby authorized to execute on behalf of said City, the contractual agreement with the TEXAS HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT, in respect to the pur» chase of right of way for proposed U. S. Highway No. 271, for the widening thereof, which is located inside the City i.imits of Paris, Texas, and extends from Loop Highway No. 286 North to the present City I.imit Line.
