RESOLUTION NO. 1221 .
<br />WHEREAS, an election was held by the qualified voters of the
<br />City of Paris, on the 4th day of April, A,Do, 1967, for the purpose
<br />of voting for and electing three (3) members at large of the City
<br />Council of the City of Paris to serve for the ensuing two (2) years,
<br />to-wit:
<br />Three Councilmen at Large
<br />WHEREAS, as required by law and directed and provided by the
<br />Charter and Ordinances of the City of Paris, such election was con.
<br />ducted and held at four (4) specified and designated polling places,
<br />that is, one polling place in each of the four (4) wards of the
<br />City of Paris; and,
<br />WHEREAS, sealed returns of said election, made by the duly ap»
<br />pointed and designated election officials of and for the four (4)
<br />respective voting boxes, have been made to the Mayor and City Council
<br />of the City of Paris, as required by law, which returns, after due
<br />and deliberate review and canvass thexeof, show the following re»
<br />sults of said election, to«wit:
<br />(1) IN WARD ONE (1) A TOTAL OF 269 VOTES WERE
<br />CAST AS FOLLOWS:
<br />For Three Councilmen at Large:
<br />E. W. (Bill) Booth, 191 Votes;
<br />William G. Jennings, 151 Votes;
<br />Eddie Sawyer, 24 Votes;
<br />Dr. B. M. Felty, 197 Votes;
<br />Dr. James R. Moore, 227 Votes;
<br />Write-In Candidates, Votes.
<br />(2) IN WARD TWO (2) A TOTAL OF 42 VOTES WERE
<br />CAST AS FOLLOWS:
