1185 RES ELECTION WAS HELD BY QUALIFIED VOTERS ON 5TH DAY OF APRIL 1966RESOLUTION NO, 1185 . W EiEREAS, an election was held by the qualified voters of the City of Paris on the 5th day of April, A. D. , 1966, for the purpo se of voting for an d electing four (4) mPmbers of the City Council of the City of Paris to serve for the ensuing two (2) year s, to -wit: 1. Councilman From Ward One (l) 2. Councilman From Ward Two (2) 3. Councilman From Ward Three (3) 4, Councilman From Ward Four (4) WHEREAS, as required by law and directed and provided by the Charter and ordinances of the City of Paris, such election was conducted and held at four (4) specified and designated polling places, that is, one polling place in each of the four (4) wards of said City; and, WHERE.AS, sealed returns of said election made by the duly appointed and designated election officials of and for the four (4) respective voting boxes have been duly made to the City Council of the Cz.ty of Paris, as required by law, which returns, after due and dPliberate review and canvass thereof, show the following results of said election, to-wit: (1) IN WARD ONE (1) A TOTAL OF 295 VJTES WERE CAST AS FOLLOW S: For Councilman From Ward One: R. A. (Bob) Kennedy, 287 votes; Write-in Candidates, 1 votes. For Councilman From Ward Two: Dick Wright, 2pg votes; Roy Davis, 82 votes; Write-in Candidates, votes. For Councilman From Ward Three: John W. Brunette, 132 votes; Write-in Candidates, votes. (4) IN WARD FOUR (4) A TOTAL OF 139 VOTES WERE GAST AS FOLLOWS: For Gouncilman From Ward One: R. A. (Bob) Kennedy, 134 votes; W-rite-in Candidates, votes. NOW2 THEREFORE, from the above and foregoing canvass of the returns of the votes in the four (4) respective voting boxes in such election, it is declared and determined that R.A. (Bob) Kennedy is the person receiving the highest number of votes of the votes cast at such election and a majority of the votes cast at such election for Councilman From Ward One (1), and was therefore elected to serve as Councilman From Ward One (l) and as a member of the City Cuuncil of the City of Paris for the ensuing two (2) years; that Dick Wright is the person receiving the highest number of votes and the majority of the votes cast at such election for Councilman From VVard Two (2), and was therefore elected to serve as Councilman From Ward Two (2) and as a member of the City Council of the City of Paris for the ensuing two (2) years; that John W. Norton is the person receiving the highest num- ber of votes and the ma.jority of the votes cast at such election for Councilman From Ward Three (3), and was therefore elected to serve as Councilman From "Nard Three (3) and as a member of the City Council of the City of Paris for the ensuing two (2) years; and that James M. Brunette is the person receiving the highest number of votes .and the majority of the votes cast at such election for Councilman From Ward Four (4), and was therefore elected to serve as Councilman From Ward Four (4) and as a m~-mber of the City Council of the City of Paris for the ens uing two (2) years. Passed and adopted by the unanimous vote of the City Council of the City of Paris, in special session convened, pursuant to the directions of the Gity Charter of the City of Paris, on this the 13th day of April, A.
