RESOLUTION NQ. 1160 . REQUESTING CER'TIFICATION SY TExAS W.ATER RIGHTS COMMI.SSION UNDER ARTICLE 8280-9 (12). W EiEREAS, the City of Paris, Texas, has applied to Texas W,ater Development Board for financial assistance under Article 8280-9, Vernont's Annotated Texas Statutes, in connection with the construction of an intake structure at Pat Mayse Dam and Reservoir on Sanders Creek, Lamar County, Texas, a water filtration plant and a pipeline for a water supply for the City of Paris, Texas, its inhabitants and industrial water consumers, herein called "Project"; THEREFORE.y BE IT RESOLVE:D BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS: The Texas W ater Rights Commission is hereby requested to adopt and furnish to the Texas W ater Development Board a resolution certifying: (a) The feasibility of the Project based on preliminary investigation and studies, including the estimated cost of construction, operation and maintenance, and the quantity and quality of water; (b) That there is an existing need and bona fide future need within a reasonable time for the water to be provided by the Project; and (c) That the City of Paris., Texas, is possessed of the necessary permit authorizing it to impound, or otherwise appropriate and use, the waters to be made available by the Project.
