1142 RES BEEN CALLED TO ATTENTION OF CITY COUNCIL IT'S DIFFICULT TO OBTAIN SUFFICIENT CLASSIFIED PERSONNEL FOR POLICE DEPTRESOLUTION NO. 1142
WrIER.EAS, it has been called to the attention of the City Council thatit
is difficult, from time to time, to obtain sufficient classified personnel for the
Paris Police Department; and,
WHEREAS, it has been called to the attention of the Czty Council that the
classified qualified personnel in the Police Department are needed m^re parti-
cularly for field duties and law 2nforcement; and,
WHEREAS, the Ci.ty Council is of the opinion that qualified classified
per.sonnel are not necessarily essential to the operation of switchboard and
two-way radio equipment in the Paris Police Dzpartment; NO'N, THEREFORE,
BE IT RE:30LVED 3Y THL CITY COUIVCJ.L QF THE CiTY OF PARIS,
TEXA5, That H. C. Kennemt:r, City Maaager, be, andhe is hereby authorized
to employ, from time, to time, as occasion may demand, civilian non-classified
personnel to man the switchboard and two-way radio equipment in the Paris
Police Department, and that such personnel shall never be considered a member
of the Police Department or classified under the Civil Service Law as classified
personnel.
