1134 RES TERM OF OFFICE OF ROBERT L SHIRLEY AS MEMBER OF P&Z COMM EXPIREDRESOLUTION NO. 1134
WHEREAS, the term of office of Robert L. Shirley, as a mem-
ber of the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Paris,
has expired; and,
WHEREAS, it has been difficult for him to attend meetings
as he travels on the road and is out of town all of the early
part of each week; and,
WHEREAS, it is necessary to appoint his successora and the
Mayor of the City of Paris, V. E. Stewart, having appointed John
J. Crain, to serve on the Planning and Zoning Commission for
three (3) years, beginning May 10, 1965 and continuing for a
term of three (3) years, and has submitted the name of such per-
son to the City Council of the City of Paris; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
TEXAS, That John J. Crain be appointed to serve as a member of
the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Paris, for a
term of three (3) years, beginning May 10, 1965 and continuing
for a period of three (3) years thereafter, and such appointment
is by the City Council of the City of Paris hereby approved and
confirmed.
IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that Robert L. Shirley be commended
for his service on the Planning and Zoning Commission, and that
he be furnished a copy of this resolution by the City of Paris.
