RESOLUTION NO, 1132. <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris has hereto- <br />fore advertised for bids for labor and materials and the con- <br />struction of an East Paris and West Paris Fire Station, and said <br />bids were to be received at 7:00 o'clock P. M., in the Council <br />Room of the City Hall, in the City of Paris, Texas, on May l0, <br />1965; and, <br />WHEREAS, there were four bids submitted for the construction <br />of said East and West Paris Fire Stations, according to the plans <br />and specifications furnished by Will H. Lightfoot & Associates, <br />Architects, of Paris, Texas, which were as follows: <br />l. Will Horne & Son $721849.50 <br />2. Harry S. Fry $719800.00 <br />3. Harrison & Walker $661199.00 <br />4. Misso Construction Company $731720.00 <br />AND WHEREAS, the bid of Harrison & Walker, in the amount of <br />$66,199.00, to furnish said labor and materials and construct <br />said Fire Stations was the lowest bid received; NOW, THEREFJRE, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, <br />That the bid of Harrison & Walker, in the amount of $66,199.00, <br />being the lowest bid, is hereby declared to be the lowest and <br />best bid for the construction of the East Paris and West Paris <br />Fire Stations, and the contract for the construction of said <br />Fire Stations is hereby awarded to Harrison & Walker, Contractors, <br />of Paris, Texas, and the City Manager, H. C. Kennemer, is hereby <br />authorized and directed to enter into a contract with Harrison & <br />Walker for the construction of the East and West Paris Fire <br />Stations, according to the plans and specif ications of the <br />Architects, and to pay them therefor as provided for in the spe- <br />cifications and contract. <br />Passed and adopted this lOt d of May, A.D., 1965. <br />Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />City Clerk <br />APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br />, <br />" Cit y Attorney <br />i <br />
