1132 RES CITY COUNCIL ADVERTISED FOR BIDSRESOLUTION NO, 1132.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris has hereto-
fore advertised for bids for labor and materials and the con-
struction of an East Paris and West Paris Fire Station, and said
bids were to be received at 7:00 o'clock P. M., in the Council
Room of the City Hall, in the City of Paris, Texas, on May l0,
1965; and,
WHEREAS, there were four bids submitted for the construction
of said East and West Paris Fire Stations, according to the plans
and specifications furnished by Will H. Lightfoot & Associates,
Architects, of Paris, Texas, which were as follows:
l. Will Horne & Son $721849.50
2. Harry S. Fry $719800.00
3. Harrison & Walker $661199.00
4. Misso Construction Company $731720.00
AND WHEREAS, the bid of Harrison & Walker, in the amount of
$66,199.00, to furnish said labor and materials and construct
said Fire Stations was the lowest bid received; NOW, THEREFJRE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
That the bid of Harrison & Walker, in the amount of $66,199.00,
being the lowest bid, is hereby declared to be the lowest and
best bid for the construction of the East Paris and West Paris
Fire Stations, and the contract for the construction of said
Fire Stations is hereby awarded to Harrison & Walker, Contractors,
of Paris, Texas, and the City Manager, H. C. Kennemer, is hereby
authorized and directed to enter into a contract with Harrison &
Walker for the construction of the East and West Paris Fire
Stations, according to the plans and specif ications of the
Architects, and to pay them therefor as provided for in the spe-
cifications and contract.
