1108 RES COP NEGOTIATED WITH USA WITH REFERENCE TO CONSTRUCTION OF PAT MAYSE DAM AND RESERVOIRRESOLUTION NO. 1108 ,
WHEREA5, the City of Paris, Texas, has for some time been nego-
tiating with the United States of America with reference to the construction
of Pat Mayse Dam and Reservoir on Sanders Creek in Lamar County, Tex.as;
and,
W HEREAS, the Unitgd States-of Amer-ica-has tendered to the City of
Paris its Contract No. DA-34.»066-CIVENG-65,1272, consisting of seven
pages, and Exhibits A and B attached thereto; and,
WHEREA5, the City of Paris, Texas desires to avail itself of the
benefits in said contract and will obligate itself as indicated therein; and,
W HEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris is of the opinio n that
the same is necessary and to the advantage of the City of Paris that said dam
and reservoir be constructed, and that the contract, as tendered, be executed
by the City of Paris; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PA.RIS,
TEXAS, That V. E. Stewart, Mayor of the City of Pari.s, is hereby au-
thorized and directed to execute said contract in triplicate with the United
States of America on behalf of and for the City of Paris, Tex.as.
