1105 RES CONGRESS AUTHORIZED CONSTRUCTION OF RESERVOIR PROJECT ON SANDERS CREEKRESOLUTION NO. 1105.
WHEREAS, the Congress of the United States has authorized the con-
struction of a reservoir project on Sanders Creek, known as the Pat Mayse
Dam site, and has appropriated money for the beginning of construction
thereon; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Paris is in the process of negotiating a contract
with the Corps of Engineers of the United States for the water supply storage
space to be included in the reservoir; and9
WHEREAS, it is necessary that a water permit be obtained from the
Texas Water Commission of the State of Texas to impound and appropriate
waters from the Pat Mayse Dam on Sanders Creek; NOW,, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY GOUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That theGity Manager of the City of Paris, Texas, H. C.
Kennemer, be, and he is hereby authorized to execute, and the City Clerk,
H. C. Greene, be, and he is hereby authorized to attest the application to the
Texas Water Commission for a water permit on behalf of the City of Paris
for the Pat Mayse Reservoir Project.
SECTION 2. That the City Manager of the City of Paris9 Texas, is
hereby directed to cause such application to be filed with the Texas Water
Commission.
