RESOLUTION NO, 1104 <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris, Texas, has heretofore <br />determined to repair and renovate a building on lst Street, S. E. immediately <br />North of the present City Hall, for a police station and jail; and, <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has advertised for bids, according to certain <br />plans and specifications prepared by the City Engineer of the City of Paris; and9 <br />WHEREAS, notice was given in the Paris News9 and bids were submitted <br />thereon on October 12, 1964 at a regular Council Meeting, held in the City Hall <br />in the City of Paris; and, <br />WHEREAS, the bids of four contractors were received on Octolyer 12, <br />1964, and referred to the City Engineer of the City of Paris to determine which <br />was the lowest and best bid; and9 <br />WHEREAS, the City Engineer has recommended that the bid of Harrison <br />and Walker, Contractors, of Paris9 Texas, in the total amount of $19, 874. 00, <br />was the lowest and best bid covering the entire remodelling, including the jail <br />section; NOW, THEREFORE, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,, <br />That H. C. Kennemer, City Manager of the City of Paris, be, and he is hereby <br />authorized to enter into a contract with Harrison and Walker, Contractors, of <br />the City of Paris, Texas, in accordance with the plans and and specifications <br />covering said job, for the remodelling of a police station, including the jail <br />sections for the total sum of $ 19, 874. 00. <br />Passed and adopted this 19th day of Octq-ber, A.
