1098 RES COP UNDER DISCUSSION FOR REMOVAL OF EAST PARIS SUB FIRE STATIONRESOLUTION NO. 1098 .
WHEREAS, the City of Paris has had under discussion for some time,
the removal of the East Paris Sub Fire Station farther East within the City
Limits,, in order to accommodate the Eastward extension of the City Limits
more successfully; andi
WHEREAS, such move is necessary and advisable; and,
W HEREAS, the City Council has heretofore placed in its Budget
Account No. 302-X-1, funds for the purchase of a site for the East Paris
Sub Fire Station, locatedfarther East than its present location; and,
WHEREA5, Frank M. OlBrieng Jr. and wife, Oberia O'Brien, own a
lot fronting on the South 5ide of Lamar Avenue,, immediately East of the~lT', C.
Short 7-Eleven Store, with a frontage of 102 feet on Lamar Avenue and a
depth of 175 feet; anda
WHEREAS, they have offered to sell the same to the Gity of Paris
for the sum of $9, 500. 00 cash; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that said price is a reasonable
price for said property; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, That the City Manager, be, and he is hereby authorized to purchase
said lot for the sum of $93 500. 00 cash and to pay for the same out of Budget
Account No. 302-X-1.
