1083 RES ELECTION WAS HELD BY QUALIFIED VOTERS OF COP ON 7TH DAY OF APRIL 1964RESOLUTION NO. 1083 .
WHEREAS, an election was held by the qualified voters of the City of Paris
on the 7th day of April, A. D. , 1964, for the purpose of voting for and electing
four (4) members of the City Council of the City of Paris to serve for tiie en-
suing two (2) years, to-wit:

WHEREAS, as required by law and directed and provided by the Charter and
ordinances of the City of Paris, such election was conducted and held at four (4)
specified and designated polling places, that is, one polling place in each of the
four (4) wards of said City; and,
WHEREAS, sealed returns of said election made by the duly appointed and
designated election officials of and for the four (4) respective voting box.es have
been duly made to the City Council of the City of Paris, as required by law, wl-ich
returns, after due and deliberate review and canvass thereof, show the following
results of said election, to-wit:

NOW, THEREFORE, from the above and foregoing canvass of the returns of
the votes in the four (4) respective voting boxes in such election, it is declared
and determined that V. E. Stewart is the person receiving the highest number of
votes of the votes cast at such election and a majority of the wtes cast at such
election for Councilman From Ward One (1), and was therefore elected to serve
as Councilman From Ward One (1) and as a member of the City Council of the
City of Paris for the ensuing two (2) years; that E. L. (Andy) Anderson is the
person receiving the highest number of votes and the majority of the votes cast
at such election for Councilman From Ward Two (2), and was therefore elected
to serve as Councilman From Ward Two (2) and as a member of the City Council
of the City of Paris for the ensuing two (2) years; that W. D. King is the person
receiving the highest number of votes and the majority of the votes cast at such
election for Councilman From Ward Three (3), and was therefore elected to serve
as Councilman From Ward Three (3) and as a member of the City Council of the
City of Paris for the ensuing two (2) years; and that James M. Brunette is the
person receiving the highest number of votes and the majority of the votes cast
at such election for Councilman From Ward Four (4), and was therefore elected
to serve as Councilman From Ward Four 4) and as a member of the City Council
of the City of Paris for the ensuing two (2) years,
Passed and adopted by the unanimous vote of the City Council of the City of
Paris, in special session convened, pursuant to the directions of the City Charter
of the City of Paris, on this the 15th day of April, A. D. , 1964.
