1051 RES COP ADVERTISED FOR BIDSRESOLUTION NO. 1051 .
WHEREAS, the City of Paris has advertised for bids on the first
phase of its Sanitary Sewer Improvement Program, being Project
851-4-63; and,
WHEREAS, the bids were received at 7:00 o'clock P. M. on April
29, 1963, in the Council Room, in the City Hall, and the same were re-
ferred to the City Engineer for tabulation and recommendation; and,
WHEREAS, Wilks, Dake & Steed of Tyler, Texas, were low bidder,
in the amount of $286, 717a 20; and,
WHEREhS, the Engineering Department has recommended that the
same is the lowest and best bid; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY CC3UNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, TEXAS, That the City Manager, H. C. Kennemer, be, and he is
hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with Wilks, Dake
& Steed for the cost of said project, according to the plans and specifica-
tions therefor, and contract to pay them the sum of $286, 717, 20.
