WHEREAS, the City of Pa ris , Texas, is interested i n f urt hering t he
use of Cox Field Airport by private and public carriers; and,
WHEREAS, there is a short ag e o f han gar space exi sti ng on said
Cox Fiel d; and,
WHEREAS, H. M. Hindman i s des iro us of obtaining a hangar space
1 ease upon w~aich to construct a hang ar an d house an ai rpl ane; and,
WHEREAS, Russell A. Gif ford is de sir ous of constructi ng an ai r-
plane hangar and a general mai nte nance and repair shop for airplanes,
said building to be 48 feet by 60 f eet; and,
WHEREAS, both person s des ir e to construct said hangars North of
the present Cox Field Air Terminal Building; NOW, THFREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY CE3UNCI L OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
That t he Mayor, W. A. Cawt hon, be, and he is hereby autho r ized and di -
rected to enter into and ex.ecute an airport hangar lease, for a term of
t en (10) years, beginning t he 9t h d ay of April, A. D, , 1963, between the
Cit y of Paris and H. M. Hindman, an d sai d lease to provi de for an opti on
at t he end of t he ten year period to re new s aid leas e upon the same t erms
and conditions; that the Mayor, W. F. Cawthon, be, and he i s hereby au-
thorized and di rected to enter i nto and ex ecute an ai rport hangar 1 ease
and general maintenance and repair shop building lease to Russell A.
G if ford, for a term of ten (10) ye ar s, be ginning April 9, 1963, between
t he Ci ty of Pari s and Rus sell A. Gi ffo rd, and sai d 1 eas e to provi de for
an option at the end of the above ten ye ar pe riod to renew said lease upon
t he same t erms and conditi ons .
