RESOLUTION NO. 1009. <br />WHER,EAS, a plat was filed many years ago of the Maxey Addition to <br />the City of Paris, i.n which a street is shown to be dedicated on the South <br />Side of Campbell Street and what would now be 17th Street, N. W. , extend- <br />ing South to the North Boundary Line of Walker Street; and, <br />WHEREAS, the street deadends at Walker Street, and the City of Paris <br />has never at any time graded or made any effort to mainta.in such street; and, <br />WHEREA5, Ethel Moore has acquired a tract of land 42 feet on the <br />South Side of Campbell Street and 177 feet from Campbell Street to Walker <br />Street, and is in the process of erecting a residence that would extend into <br />such dedicated street some 12 feet; and, <br />WHEREAS, there is no necessity and none is anticipated that it will ever <br />become necessary to open or mainta.in said street; and, <br />WHEREAS, the City of Paris has no further use for the East 20 feet of <br />such dedicated area; and, <br />WHEREAS, the Gity of Paris owns and mainta.ins an open concrete <br />drainage ditch on the West half of said 40 foot area, which would render <br />impractical the use of said area as a public street; NOW= THEREFORE, <br />BE IT RESOLVEI? BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, <br />That the Mayor of the City of Paris, W. A. Cawthon, be, and he is hereby <br />authaxized to execute a quit-claim deed to Ethel Moore for the East 20 feet <br />of the aforesaid dedicated 40 foot area. <br />Passed and adopted this 14th day of Ma.y, A.
