0996 RES VERLINE E STEWART RESIGNED AS MEMBER OF BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF HOUSING AUTHORITYRESOLUTION NO. 996 .
WHEREAS, Verlin E. Stewart, has resigned as a member of the Board
of Gommissioners of the Housing Authority of the City of Paris, and said
resignation ha,s been accepted by the City Council; and,
WHEREAS, a vacancy now exists on the Board of Commissioners of
the Housing Authority of the City of Paria, and it is necessary to appa'tit his
succeasor; and,
WHEREAS, it has been recommended to the City Council by the Mayor,
W. A. Cawthon, that Carl M. McWherter, Jr., be appointed as a member of
the Board of Commissioners of the Housing Authority of the City of Paris,
to fill the unexpired term of Verlin E. Stewart, which term expires October 7,
1963; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
That Carl M. McWherter, Jr., be, and he ia hereby appainted as a member
of the Board of Commissioners of the Housing Authority of the City of
Paris, to fill the unexpired term of Verlin E. Stewart, which term expires
October 7, 1963; this appointment to become effective immediately.
