957 RES CITY COUNCIL NEVER ADOPTED STANDARD POLICY FOR ANENXATION OF OUTLYING BUSINESSES AND INDUSTRIAL CONCERNSRESOLUTION NO. 957
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris has never adopted
a standard policy for the annexation of outlining businesses and industrial
concerns; and,
WHEREAS, there are several rather substantial industrial concerns
located at the outskirts of the City Limits of the City of Paris; and,
WHEREAS, it may be necessary in the future that the City of Paris
establish a policy annexing industries whose sites are contiguous to the
City Limits of the City of Paris; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, TEXAS, That it is the opinion and thinking of the present City
Council of the City of Paris, that whatever policy in the future that may
be adopted for the annexation of businesses heretofore existing on the
outskirts of the City Limits, that the same policy and the same and
equal treatment will apply to any industries which may locate between this
date and the time of any future annexation.
