WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Pari.s did, on February 5,
A. I?. , 1959, by resolution, authorize the execution of an easement by the
City of Paris to the St, Louis, Sa.n Francisco and Texas Railway Company~
a Texas eorporation, located on a strip 50 feet wide and on the West Side
of 19th Street, N. W„ on property known as the Old Airport property, and
located between tracts owned by the L. B. B. Corporation and the
Pennsylvania Tire Company, which easement extended 263 feet Weat of
the West Boundary Line of 19th Street, N. W. ; and,
WHEREAS, said Railway Com?any has requested an additional ease-
ment from the City of Paris:
Beginning at the West Boundary Li.ne of the aforesaid easement
and continuing on the centerline strip of 25 feet on each side, 405
feet to an angle in the properties of the L. B. B. Gorporation and
the Pennsylvania Tire Company;
Thence continuing in a South Westerly direction with the most
Southern South Boundary Line of the Pernzsylvania Tire Company
tract on the centerl3ne strip of 25 feet on each side thereof, a
distance of 1108. 6 feet to the most 5outhern South West Corner of
the Pennsylvania Tire Company tract; and,
WHEREAS, it is to the advanta.ge of the City of Paris, in order to
serve an industrial area being developed on the Legion Airport property,
located on 19th Street, N. W,; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
That the Mayor, William C. Ragan9 be, and he is hereby authorized to exe-
cute on behalf of the City of Paris, an easement to the St. Louis, San
Francisco and Texas Railway Company, for the purpose of building such
railroad track or spur. ~
