RESOLU'I'FON NO. 941 .
WHEREAS, ma.ny years ago, T& P Addition to the City of Paris, on
its plat, which was filed at the time of the creation of said Addition, desig.
nated in Block 4 of the T & P Addition to the City of Paris a certain alley
beginning at the North Boundary Line of Sycamore Street and extending to
the South Boundary Line of the right of way of the T& P Railroad, and the
width of the alley as dedicated was 20 feet; and,
WHEREAS, said alley has never been opened and has not been used
as a right of ingress and egress by any of the property owners fronting on
said alley, and much of the alley has been occupied by buildings and en-
closed by abutting property owners for xnore tha.n twenty-five years; and,
WHEREAS, the City has no reason or cause to open said al.].ey or to
use the same; and,
WHEREAS, the C3ty of Paris ha.s not pla.ced any water or sewer lines
thereon and has no necessity for a right of ingress and sgress i,n and along
sai.d alley; NQW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PAR.7S,
Tha.t aaid alley be, and the same is hereby abandoned, and the City of
Paris relinquishes all right, title, and interest in and to said alley for any
purpose.
