RESOLUTION NO. 939
WHEREAS, Robert Glass has completed a service of four years
on the City Counci.l of the City of Paris, Texas, and has just finished
his term from April, 1959 to April, 1960, in which he served the City
of Paris as its Mayor; and,
WHEREAS, during the time Mayor Glass served as such mayor,
he gave unselfishly of his services for the best interests of the City
of Paris, even though during much of his term of office as a council-
man and as mayor, ma.ny items of controversial na,ture were faced by
the City Council of the City of Pa,ris, and as time goes on the citizens
of Paris will become eterna.lly grateful for his unselfish devotion to the
dignity befitting the ma,yorss office of the City of Paris; and,
WHEREAS, his services took time from his work and from his
family on many many occasions, and the members of the City Council,
and particularly those who served with him, are highly conscious of
the value of his services to the City of Paris; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVEI? BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CTTY OF
PARIS, That we here and now express to the Honorable Robert Glass
our whole and complete apprecia,tion for his years of service on the
City Council and for his year of service as Mayor of the City of
Paris, and we do here and now extend to him our best wishes for his
continued interest in the future of the City of Paris, and best wishes
for the future of him and his family.
