938 RES BEEN CALLED TO ATTENTION OF CITY COUNCIL THAT FOURTH ARMY OF U.S. GIVEN CONSIDERATION TO THE ERECTION OF RESERVE ARMORY& 6-40
RESOLUTION NO, 938 .
WHEREAS, it ha.s been called to the attention of the City Council of
the City of Paris that the Fourth Army of the United States of America,
by and through its Commanding General, has given some consideration to
the erection of a U. S. Army Reserve Armory within the City of Paris,
Texa,s; and,
WHEREAS, it ha.s been called to the attention of the City Council of
the City of Paris that the Fourth Army is considering the plans for a U. S.
Army Reserve Armory within the City of Paris, to be used for military
purposes; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris is cognizant of the
need of the City of Pa,ris for such U. S. Army Reserve Armory and is well
aware of the many advanta.ges it would bring to the citizens of the City of
Paris; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL GlF THE CITY OF PARIS,
That the City of Paris expresses its appreciation to the Commanding
General of the Fourth Army of the United Sta.tes of America in this particu-
lar, and in expression of such appreci.a.tion the City Council of the City of
Paris expresses its willingness and desire to support such program and to
cooperate with the Commanding General of the Fourth Army of the United
States of America in accomplishing such project.
