934 RES CITY COUNCIL BY RESOLUTION AUTHORIZED COP ENTERING INTO CONTRACT WITH STATE HIGHWAY DEPT0 •
RESOLUTION N0. 934 ~
WHEREAS, the City Council, by resolntion, has heretofore authoriaed the
City of Paris entering into a contract with the State Highway Department for
the widening of North Maia Street; and,
WHEREAS, the City Limits, at the time such agreement was entered into,
on U. S. Highway No. 271 (North Main Street) terminated at Station 45+61; and,
WHEREAS, the Citq has, bq annexation, extended the Citq Limits North from
said Station 45+61 to the Sonth Boundary Line of Lc►op Highway No. 286; and,
WtIEREAS, the City Council desires to enter into an agreement with the
State Highway Department to participate on a similar or the same basis ia the
widening of U. S. Highway No. 271 on North Main Street from Station 45+61 to
the present North Bou ndary Line of the City Limits; NOW, THIItEFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CTTY COUNCIL OF PHE CITY OF P/iRIS, TEX.A.S, That
the City Manager, H. C. Kennemer, be, and he is hereby authorized to enter
into an agreement with the State Highway Department participating on the
same basie in the area North of Station 45+61 to the present North Boundary
Line of the City of Paris oa U. S. Highway 271.
