924 RES COP IS OWNER OF PROPERTY LOCATED WEST AND NORTH OF COP0 0
RESOLUTION NO. 924 .
WHEREAS, the City of Paris is the owner of property located West
and North of the City of Paris, known as Lake Gibbons; and,
WHEREAS, there has recently been a road connected around the
South and West Side of Lake Gibbons to the Geese Game Preserve and
keeperis cabin; and,
WHEREAS, zn certain seasons of the year it is impossible for the
citizens to traverse said road; and,
WHEREAS, the County has agreed to re-work the road, furnishing
all the labor and materials, except the oil necessary to oil the same; and,
WHEREAS, a committee has been appointed by the City Council to
study the feasibility of the City of Paris entering into a joint agreement
with the County to surface said road, so that it will become an all weather
road, and such Committee has recommended that the City furnish up to a
maximum of $1, 200.00 for the purchase of the oil necessary to oil said
road; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the same is ta the
welfare and benefit of the City of Paris, as a whole; and,
WHEREAS, the same is not a budget item, and it will be necessary
for payment to be ma.de out of the Council Contingent Fund, Budget A.ccount
No, 406-D-7; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
That the Acting City Manager, H. C. Kennemer, be, and he is hereby
authorized to authorize the working of said road and to furnish not to ex-
ceed $1, 200, 00 for the purchase of oil, in order to make said road an all
weather road on and over the premises belonging to the City of Paris.
The Acting City Manager, H. C. Kennemer, is hereby authorized to charge
the expenditure to the Council Contingent Fund, Budget Account No.
406-D_7.
