RESOLUTION NO. 887
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris ha.s determined
that it is to the advanta.ge of the City of Paris to ha.ve a location, pro••
perly housed and properly operated, to ta.ke care of the processing of
dead animals which die in and around the City of Paris, and particularly
upon the Lake Crook Water Shed of the City of Paris; and,,
WHEREAS, Dr. J. W. McCoy has proposed to the City Council -to
purchase from the City of Paris a tract of la.nd as hereinafter described,
belonging to the City of Pa.ris, and comprising slightly in excess of orle
acre of land, and ha.s agreed to pay therefor the sum of $500. 00 per acre
for said tract of land and has agreed to build and erect a building, como
plying with the la.ws, rules and regulations of the Sta.te Health Depart:ment
and the Health Department of Paris and Lamar County, in which to pi-o-
cess and prepare for disposal the bodies of dead animals picked up
within Lama.r County, Texas, and to maintain and operate the same
strictly in accordance with the provisions of the State Health regulations
and the regulations of the Paris-Lama.r County Health Department; NOW,
THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, That the Mayor of the City of Paris be, and he is hereby au-
thorized and directed to execute a good and sufficient warranty deed
covering the following described property, to-wit:
Situated in the County of Lamar and State of Texas, and
geginning at the North East Corner of a tract of la.nd
heretofore sold by the City of Paris to Leon Moss, recorded
in Book 344, Page 319, Qf the Deed Records of Lamar County,
Texa,s;
Thence West with the N. B. Line of said Moss Tract to thE;
W. g, Line of a tract belonging to the City of Paris, Texas,
bei.ng the North West Corner of the IA on Moss Tract;
Thence North to the S. B. Line of Loop Highway No. 286;
Thence South and East with the S. B. Line of Highway
Loop 286 to a point, which point is due North of the North
East Corner of the said City of Paris to Leon Moss Tract;
Thence South to the North East Corner of said I..@on Moss
Tract to the place of beginning.
