WHEREASp the City Council of the City of Fariss Texas, by resolvticn dated
February 12, 1959 authorized Kr. Robert hlcWhirtero Mayor of the City of Paris,
Texas, to file a presentation with the State Board of Water Engineers for a water
supply reservoir on Sanders Creek, a tributary of the Red River, in Lamar County,
Texas, on that reach of Sanders Creek between its confluence with the Red River
and Farm P.oad 79 (between Direct and Sumner, Lamar County); and
WHE.4EAS, on Nlarch 5, 1959 the City of Paris did apply to the State Beard af
Water Engineers for the right to investigate the reach of Sanders Creek described
above as a source of water supply; and
Vr'HEREAS, this presentation (No. 1413) was granted for a six-month period and must
be renewed on or before September 5, 1959;
NOW, THEkEFORE, BE IT FtESCLVED BY THE CITY CQUNCIL OF THE CITY CF PA.RIS,
TEXAS:
That Mr. Robert Glass, Mayor of the City of Paris, Texas, be authorized
to file and furnish such information and to take such other action as necessary
to obtain an extension of this presentation for a two and one-half year p eriod.
