878 RES WESTERN LANDS HOLIDAY INN MOTEL REQUESTED COP TO FURNISH WATER AND FIRE PROTECTIONf i •
RESOLUTION NO. 878 .
WHEREAS, the Western Lands Holiday Inn Motel has requested the City
of Paris to furnish water and fire protection to a location North of the City
Limits on the West Side of Highway 271 for the purpose of constructing a
motel; and,
WHEREAS, a Gommittee of John W. Williams, Ralph Beard, andl Charlie
R. Brown, appointed by the City Council at its last regula.r meeting on .August
10, 1959, to meet with Mr. J. C. Dodson and report back to the Council, has
met and has recommended to the Council that the City of Paris pay fram its
Bond Program for an eight inch (811) line from the City Limits North to the lo-
cation of said Western Lands Holiday Inn Motel, and that the ordinary x-ate for
water be charged said Western Lands Holiday Inn Motel; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council believes it is to the interest and adlvantage
of the City of Paris to do so; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS:
Tha.t the City Manager be, and. he is hereby authorized to lay and const:ruct said
eight inch (811) water line from the North edge of the City Limits to the Western
Lands Holiday Inn Motel, and to pay for the same out of the Bond Funds
for water and sewer construction, and the City Clerk is authorized and directed
to furnish water to the said Western Lands Holiday Inn Motel on the usua1 and
regular rates.
