873 RES ROAD LEADING TO SE AREA OF LAKE CROOK IS IN BAD REPAIR AND BECOMING IMPASSABLE IN BAD WEATHER0 !
RESOLUTION N0. 873
WHEREAS, the road leading to the South East area of Lake Crook is in a
bad state of repair and is becoming almost impassable in bad weather; andf,
WHEREAS9 the City cf Paris is required to use such road for access to
its Water Treatment and Pumping Station located at the South East corner of
Lake Crook, and said use is required in all kinds of weatherg therefore an
all weather road is necessary, and the City of Paris is further required to
use the same to furnish access to the use of the South Bank of the City Lake
for recreational purposes and other necessary p urposes; andp
WHEREA5, the County of Lamar has a greed to furnish labor and equipment
in a joint venture to resurface said roadp and the County of Lamar has further
agreed to participate on one-half of the materials necessary to fix and repair
said roadl and it is believed by the City Council of the City of Paris,, f,rom
estimates made by the City Manager of the City of Paris, that the cost of ma-
terials will not exceed $29000.00; NOWO TI-IEREFORE9
BE IT RE90LVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, That the City
Manager be, and he is herebp authorized and directed to contribute engineering
servicesp other equipment servicess and cash for materials used on said road,
in a svm not in excess of $29000.00.
