WHEREAS, ths City of Parist Texasp has heretefore advertised for bidsp
on certain terms and conditions, for the sale of the surface grazing riqhts of
Cox Field Hirport properties; andp
WHEREr;S, bids have been received and referred to a Comnittee of the
City Council, and which Comrnittee has recommended to the City Council the bid
of J. S. Sharp and J. B. Sharpg in the sum of $2,407.25 per year, for the use
of said properties with a lease to run for five yearss with an option for re-
newal for an additional five years at the same rentals and under the sarne terms
and conditions, in which bid the Lessees propose to put the property leased
into a permanent pasture i;nprovement program consistiny of fertilizer applica-
tion and over seeding of legumes and perennial grasses in accordance with the
recommendations of the Soil Conservation Service and to the extent recommerd ed
by the Soil Conservation Service up to ninety per cent of that portion of the
tract leased which is usable as pasture, and it is the further recommendation
of the Committee that if and when the property is necessary for industrial use
or rnunicipal purposest such as the extensicn of runways or other airport func-
tions, that the City of Paris may, upon ninety days notices cancel said lease,
or that portion of the property described in the lease, which is necessary for
sucn purposes; NI;W, THERErORE,
BE IT RESvLVED BY TI-E CITY CGUNCIL GF THE CITY CF PARIS9 Thc-it the bid
proposal of J. S. Sharp and J. B. 5harp beg and the same is hereby declared
the highest and best bid for the use of the Cox Field Airport property for
grazing purposes, and the Mayor of the City of Parisp Robert Glass, is hereby
authorized and directed to enter into such lease with the bidders, J. S. Sharp
and J. B. 5harp.
