RESOLUTIqN N0. 868 .
WHEREASs the Honorable Robert McWhirter has just completed a service
of four years on the City Covncil of the City of Parisp and has just finislzed
his term from April$ 1958 to April, 1959, in which he served the City of
Paris as its Mayor; and,
WHEREAS, during the time Mayor McWhirter served as such arayorg he
gave of his services for the best interest of Paris, even though he may have
been in the midst of controversial actionp and as time goes on the citizens of
Paris will become eternally grateful for his unseifish devotion to the dignity
befitting the mayorts office of the City of Paris; NGW, TEEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY TI-3E CITY (XJUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, That we hiere
and now express to the Honorable Robert MciNhirter our whole and complete
appreciation for his years of service on the City Council and of his year Of
service as Mayor, and we do here and now extend to him our best wishes for his
future.
