RESOLUTION NU. 866 WHERENS, the City of Paris has heretofore filed with the State Board
of Engineers Texas certain
from a
WHEREAS, in order to complete the testimony and hearing before th.e
Board of Water Engineers of the State of Texas relative to said permitg it is
going to be necessary to obtain the following engineering servicess
1. The filing of a presentation to the Board of Water En9ineers
which permits the City to investigate reservoir sites on
Sanders Creek.
2. The hydrological study to determine the safe yields which may
be available from a potential reservoir on Sanders Creek.
3. Determination of spillway capacity and preliminary design
of spillway.
4. Determination of outlet works• capacity and preliminary
design.
5. Field location of the proposed dam site and preparation of
necessary plats to be filed with tlie State Board of Water
Engineers.
6. Establishment of design criteria for the intake structures
the pump station and the pipe line from the proposed re-
servoir to Lake Crook and/or existing treatment plant.
7. Prepare estimates of cost of dam sites.
8. Represent the City in hearings before the Board of Water
Engineers in connection with securing a water permit.
9. Assist the City in negotiationsp if anyp with the United
States Government Authorities in connection with securing
conservation space in a reservoir which may be built by
the United States Government.
10. Preparation of this information in a report to the City
and furnishing to the City five (5) copies thereof; and,
WHEREAS, the Engineeriny Firm of Forrest and Cottong Inc.9 of Dallass
Texas, has been in negotiations with the City of Paris with reference to the
furnishing of such above named services; andg
WHEREAS9 said Engineering Firm has agreed to enter into a writt.en

contract with the City of Paris for said services for $

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY CCUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, That t:he
Mayor of the City of Parisg Robert Glass, be# and he is hereby authoriz:ed
and directed to enter into said contract with Forrest and Cottong Inc.,,
Consulting Engineerss for and on behalf of the City of Paris.
