837 RES PARIS TX INDUSTRIAL FOUNDATION ET AL HAVE BEEN NEGOTIATING WITH MANSFIELD TIRE AND RUBBER CO0 • RESOLUTIQN N0. $37 WHEf3EAS9 the Paris, Texas Industrial Foundation, Inc.p the Industrial Committee of the Chamber of ComMerce of Paxis and Lamar Countyl and the City Council have been in negotiations with the Mansfield Tire and Rubber Company, looking forward to it locating a manufacturing plant on a 30 acre site of the property owned by the City of Parist which property is known as the Old Legion Airport Site, and which property has since May 31, 1956, been leased to the Pariss Texas Industrial Foundations Inc.9 with an option to purchase all or a portion of the same, at a price of not less than $100.00 per acre; and, WHEREAS., the Pariss Texas Industrisl Foundations Inc. has elected to exercise its option to purchase said 30 acre sitep for the sum of $150.00 per acre, the consideration to be paid by the Mansfield Tire and Rubber Company and the deed to be made to the Mansfield Tire and Rubber Company, Np{ry, THERE_ FOREP BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CIIY CpUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIgp That in the event the negotiations are consumnated in a contract with the Mansfield Tire and Rubber Coaapanys and the location af such manufacturing plant is made definite and certaing the Mayor of the City of Paris is hereby aathorized and directed to execute a good apd sufficient warranty deed to said 30 acre tracts to the Mansfield Tire and Rubber Company.
