RESOLUTION NU.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris, on
the 30th day of July, A. D., 19572 did pass Ordinance No.
1409, styled Zoning Ordinance; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Paris is endeavoring to bring
in and under said Zoning Ordinance certain areas within the
City of Paris, and to eliminate certain nonconforming areas
by placing them in classifications under said Zoning
Ordinance to which they are applicable; and,
WHEREAS, the City CounciZ is of the opinion that the
following described areas, and the classifications therefor,
should have their classifications changed, said areas being
as follows:
TRACT N0. l: A lot belonging
and A. M. Haraway, located at
the W. B. Line of $th Street,
Boundary Line of Fort Street,
immediately East of property

the intersection of

and lying and being owned by Fry & Gibbs
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, That the question of changing the above area from
that of a Residential District to an 'tE'T Community Store
District, in compliance with and under Zoning Ordinance P1o.
140q be, and the same is hereby referred to the Planning
and Zoning Commission.
TRACT N0. 2: Beginning at the intersection of the
N. B. Line of West Campbell Street and the West
Boundary Line of 19th Street, N. W., in the City
of Paris, and extending North approximately 1630
feet to a concrete marker, styled 1200 Block, and
19th Street, N. W.;
Thence West 200 feet to the edge of the City
Limit Zine;
Thence North to the South Boundary Line of
West Campbell Street, following the West Boundary
Line of the City of Paris in said area for
approximately 1630 feet;
Thence West with the North Boundary Line of
West Campbell Street approximately 200 feet to
the place of beginning.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the question of changing
the above area from that of a Residential District to an "H'r
Commercial District, in compliance with and under Zoning
Ordinance P1o. 1409,be, and the same is hereby referred to the
Planning and Zoning Commission.
TRACT N0. 3: Being composed of 61.6 feet owned by
Earl Wilson, on the South Side of U. S. Highway
$2, or Lamar Avenue; one tract belonging to J. H.
Griffin, fronting 71.4 feet on said Lamar Avenue;
one tract belonging to Covy Williams, fronting 120
feet on said Lamar Avenue; and one tract belonging
to Charles OtBrien, fronting 120 feet on said
Lamar Avenue.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the quEtio n of changing
the above areas from that of a Residential District to an
nEtt Community Store District, in compliance wi.th and under
Zoning Ordinance No. 1409, be, and the same is hereby
referred to the Planning and Zoning Commission.

feet by 100 feet depth, and beginning 120 feet
East of the intersection of 20th Street, N. E.
with the E. B. Line of 20th Street, N. E. and

Lamar Oil Compar.y.
One tract belonging to Tommie Mitehell,
located at the North West intersection of
27th Street, N. E. and Lamar Avenue, fronting
15$ feet on Lamar Avenue and 120 f eet on 27th
Street, N. E.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the question of changing
the above area from that of a Residential District to a'tG"
Commercial District, in corr~pliance with and under Zoning
Ordinance No. 1409, be, and the same is hereby referred to
the Plar.ning and Zoning Commission.
That all of the abo ve and foregoing areas have been
referred to the Planning and Zoning Commission, and the
proper of~'icials of the City of Paris are hereby authorized
to comply with the laws of the State of Texas with reference
to the zoning of the above areas, and that a public hearing
be called for 7:00 bt cloc'k P. M., on the lOth day of March,
A. D., 1958, in the Council Room, in the City Hall, in the
City of Paris, Texas.
