WI-IEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris has heretofore re-
ceived k~ids on a street sweeper; and,
WHEREAS, the committee,which ha5 heretufore been appointed to in-
vestigate and make reconunendations for the lowest and best bid, has
recoamended that the Wayne sweeper be purchased from Browning-Ferris
Machinery Company for the sum of $9,915.00, payable $4,915.00 cash and the
sum of $5,000.00 to be borrowed upon a Conditional Sales Contract, to bear
4% interest from the date of its delivery and payable in one year fmm the
date of delivery; IJJW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY I'HE CITY OJUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, That the
bid of Browning-Ferris Machinery Company be, and the same is hereby de-
clared to be the lowest and best bid, and the City Manager is authorized
to enter into a contract for the purchase of said Wayne sweeper for the sum
of $9,915.00, to pay therefor the sum of $4,915.00 in cash and to borrow
the sum of $5,000.00 at 4% interest for the remainder of the purchase
price.
