WHEREAS, the City cf Paris has heretofere umdertaken the rehabil:i-
tation of the Camp Maxey Water Treating Plant and the repair of the Old
City Water Treating Plant; and,
WHEREAS, the Engineering Firm of Forrest and Cotton has prepared
plans and specifications for said projects; and,
WHEREAS, it ia necessary to authorize the advertisement for b3.ds
in the near future in order to complete the work before the strain of
heavy demands for water treatmerat; and,
1NHERERS, the City of Paris has, as a part of its Water and Sewer
Extension Program, decided to enlarge and extend its existing Booster
Station to provide additional pumping capacity; and,
WHEREAS, the Engineeripg Firm of Forrest and Cotton has prepared
plans and specifications for the extension of the existing Booster
Station, to provide said additional pumping capacity; NOYY, THEREFnAE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COiJNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, That the
City of Paris proceed with such work, and that the City Manager, Albert K.
Steinheimer, be, and he is hereby authorized to receive bids for all of
the above projects in accordance rrith the plans and spec3.fications furnished
by the Engineering Firm of Forrest and Cotton, said bids to be received a-t
7:00 o9clock P. M., on the 23rd day of December, 1957, in the Coumcil Rooln,
in the City Hall, ia the City of Paris, Texas.
