WHEREAS, the City Couacil of the City of Paris did, on the llth
day of November, 1957, receive bids for Project No. 802-9-57, Loweriwg
and Encasement of Water Supply Line Under Proposed Highway, the bids
being as followss
1. H. H. Miller Construction Company, Incorporated,
Dallas, Texas, in the amount of $9,097.609
2. Stimson Contracting Company, Dallas, Texas,
in the amoeunt o f$9, 550.00; and ,
iNHEREAS, said bids were referred to the Engineering Firm of
Forrest and Cotten for checking, tabulation, and recosrnendations; and
WHEREAS, by letter dated Alovember 15, 1957, Forrest and Cotton
had determined and recommended that the bid of H. H. Miller Constructio;n
Company, Incorporated, was the lowest and best bid, a►ad recommended that
said contract be awarded to the H. H. Miller Construction Company,
Incorporated, for the stam of $9,097.60; AipW, THEREFOAE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY TEE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF P,ARIS, That the
bid of H. H. Miller Constructioa Company, Incorporated, be, and the samE3
is hereby declared to be the lowest and best bid, and the City Manager of
the City of Paris, Albert K. Steinheimer, be, and he is hereby authorized
and directed to enter into a contract with H. H. Miller Construction
Company, Incorporated, ia accordance with the plans and specifications
for said pro,ject, upon their executing the aecessary performance bond arud
the necessary insurance requirements which are made in the specifications.
